We've been a local business in Longview for 41 years!! So when it comes to supporting and partnering with other small businesses, we are passionate about it. We have heard many stories from our owner about his beginning days of R&J- sleeping on a couch in the backroom, handwritten bookkeeping, to only a few customers a week! Truly an inspiration to think of where Racquet and Jog started back in 1978, to where it is now.
So we will always be grateful to the other Longview businesses who choose to give their time and product to support us, but more importantly, to support our community!
This past weekend we had our "famous" Sidewalk Sale- definitely our biggest one yet! Coffee Mill (business info) who's been a local business in Longview for 25 years, provided coffee and tea to our shoppers in the morning. I'm not sure about you, but we rely heavily on coffee- especially during our Sidewalk Sale.
We also had Wild Honey Creamery (business info), a new local business, bless us with their delicious ice cream. Since this Texas heat is choosing to stick around a little longer, we say an extra "Thank You" to them for scooping ice cream in this heat! Every flavor (Pecan Caramel Crunch, Churro, Blueberry Lemonade, Oatmeal Cream Pie, Birthday Cake (Unicorn), Chocolate and Salted Caramel) was amazing!
Lastly, East Texas Flower Truck (business info), who opened in 2018, brought us her fun little truck filled with gorgeous local flowers! She's also a rockstar to spend her afternoon in the sun selling flowers.
It was a busy day, but we wouldn't change it for anything. We seriously have the best customers. But we also thoroughly enjoy supporting other local businesses.
